We offer theatre, music, comedy, workshops, art exhibitions, conferences, meetings, weddings, parties, community events, community group meetings not to mention our Beatrix Potter exhibition, foyer café and gift shop.

The Great Tapestry of Scotland
Andrew Crummy is the artist and designer for the Great Tapestry of Scotland project - in this fascinating talk Andrew takes us through the whole process, from conception to finished product, describing the various processes that were undertaken.
Dick Gaughan, a Scottish folk legend, guitarist, singer/songwriter, composer and orchestrator, is the only performer to hold the dual honour of a Lifetime Achievement award by BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and induction in2009 into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame, an award which celebrates exceptional contribution to the Scottish traditional music scene.
The Boy in the Bunnett
The Boy and the Bunnet is the tale o a young laddie cried Neil. He bides in a wee white hoose, aw on its ain beside the sea...
Neil shares his rural Scottish home with his Granny and a wee, grey Cat. There are some other animals nearby, like the shy, sleekit Selkie, the muckle, handsome Stag and the crabbit Craw. And there’s a mysterious beast, the Urisk, that Granny says likes tae eat wee laddies for supper!
On her second, and much anticipated, visit to Birnam Arts, double MOBO Award Winning Saxophonist YolanDa Brown is widely regarded as the emerging voice of mainstream Jazz in the UK - she is one of the most exciting, in-demand live performers - her music is a wonderful mix of genres, touching on Jazz, Soul and Reggae.
Following the critical and popular success of their productions of Iron and Outlying Islands, the latter of which appeared at Birnam Arts last year, award-winning Firebrand, in partnership with Heart of Hawick, present the Scottish premiere of an unconventional and moving love story: a sexy, funny, and thought-provoking exploration of the limits of medicine in today's pill-popping culture.
